Robert,

Here's some more information ....

The send session that results in a blank fax being received generates the following log:

The "gobbledygook" generated by a faxstat -v is:

Trying localhost (127.0.0.1) at port 4559...
Connected to localhost.
220 Wallace server (HylaFAX (tm) Version 4.1beta2) ready.
-> USER root
230 User ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ logged in.
-> PORT 127,0,0,1,5,94
200 PORT command successful.
-> LIST status
425 Cannot build data connection: Network is unreachable.

Unfortunately, I made some changes to the hylafax setup last night and one of these seems to have stopped the segmentation error I got with faxgetty. Incidentally, how would I go about building a version of faxgetty with debug code included? I may need this if I strike problems again.

However, received faxes seem to be left in the /var/spool/fax/recvq folder - not forwarded anywhere. If you examine a '.tif' file in that folder, the document is received but lines seem to be squashed up - any thoughts?
